Bam Boa - Amsterdam

For a second we thought we were out in Mykonos. Tulum if you like. But no, our very own hometown Amsterdam is where it happens. We’re going barefoot at the beachy terrace of newcomer Bam Boa, right on the banks of the Amstel river.

The corner at Weesperzijde where, until last year (2019), the beloved Girassol restaurant used to sit, now is home to Bam Boa. A beachy restaurant where the sons Girassol are at the helm. Inside its not hard to imagine yourself in a hip all-rattan beach shack on Mykonos, outside it’s Amsterdam coziness all over, with the same large terrace on overlooking the Amstel river. On the menu a lot of dishes to share (fish croquettes, hummus, ceviche, good chicken skewers - and more of those), large jugs of Sangria and classic fruits de mer. Everything yummie and served by a bunch of friendly guys and girls. Really, all we need on a long warm summer night there at the Amstel.

Bam Boa, open daily from 11:00 to 21:00
