Republiek Bloemendaal

The re-opening of Republiek in the Dutch seaside resort of Bloemendaal is the one everyone is talking about this summer - and for good reason: good cocktails, stunning sunsets and the most aesthetically pleasing interior a restaurant could have.

Republiek has been a seaside favorite for years, but we have a feeling it’s gotten even more in vogue after its head-to-toe renovation and the impressive interior revamp done by Anne Claus. Polished concrete, rattan chairs, exotic wall art and a balmy earth tones giving the restaurant the same shot of style you’d expect to see in Bali or Mykonos, while giant floor to ceiling windows put the attention right where it should be: the sea.

Republiek opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner but also makes a great spot for a quick morning coffee or evening sundowners. Expect to find a decent selection of seafood on the menu - from fresh oysters and an excellent langoustine bisque to grilled sea bass to share. For those not that mad about fish there are plenty of other options such as tasty stone oven pizza’s or veggie burgers.
Sun beds and cabanas are for rent (a minimum spend applies) for those lazy summer days - and come winter, we already see us cosy up around the indoor fireplace. Cause yes the new Republiek is here and is about to stay, the whole year round.
