Liberté Paris: a new take on the traditional bakery

Serving a new take on the traditional French boulangerie Liberté Paris is as much a feast for the tastebuds as it is for the eyes. With their fourth Parisian bakery just opened in the 7th arrondisement and two overseas outposts in Japan little Liberté is up for big adventures.

Liberté’s latest bakery and patisserie on the Rue Saint-Dominique is arguably be the most aesthetically pleasing bakery in town. It has to: this hole-in-the-wall location was done by French-Israeli interior designer Emmanuelle Simon, who was given carte blanche on everything design. She turned the cosy 25m2 bakery into a serene space decked in earthy tones, round shaped furniture, bluestone floors and arched coves that serve as small seating areas. The central island that displays the freshly baked pastries is tiled with Raku tiles made with a traditional Japanese ceramic technique.

Aside fresh coffees, traditional baguettes (charcoal-infused if you like) and buttery croissants expect to find a mouthwatering selection of pastries like tartelettes, sticky madeleines and our very favorite Chou à la Vanille - classic French creamy vanilla buns.
