Inside Petunia Ibiza, a Beaumier Hotel
A tiny slice of paradise sits hilltop on Ibiza’s rugged west coast. Away from the bustle and with magical views of Es Vedra, Petunia Ibiza is all about encountering the islands quieter side. Slow, but stylish and with the right amount of fun. It’s Ibiza after all.
Ibiza has grown up - and so have its visitors. The island isn’t just about all-nighters anymore: these days, more travelers are coming for sunrise-yoga, farm-to-table feasts and the kind of sunsets that don’t (always) need a DJ. For the new crowds health equals hedonism, and Petunia nails that sweet spot. A boutique stay that feels effortlessly slow and stylish and with three dining outlets and a rooftop bar, a little indulgent.

Part of the Beaumier collection—yes, the same behind the South of France’s much buzzed-about Les Roches Rouges— Petunia trades the Rivièra for Ibizan ease, but with the same amount of style. At Petunia, Argentinian designer Lula Galeano of Studio Galeón channels the island’s golden days, weaving in retro-chic and ‘70s nostalgia (fitting, since that’s when the original building was born). The 42 rooms are all dressed in light tones and have playful wall frescoes and colorful rugs. Each comes with thoughtful perks: Grown Alchemist amenities, a minibar, and a balcony that points directly to the saltwater pool, while the Bougainville Suites serve up private rooftop terraces with panoramas of Es Vedrà.
The three main restaurants at Petunia are helmed by Mallorcan chef Baltasar Rigo and focus on locally sourced produce, with some of its greens coming directly from the hotel’s on-site vegetable gardens. La Mesa d’Es Vedra is the hotel’s main restaurant and offers fine dining, while Los Olivos keeps things more casual with breezy Mediterranean classics and grilled seafood. Rooftop restaurant La Mirada leans into raw cuisine and is the ultimate spot for sunset cocktails. And trust us - watching the sun slip behind Es Vedra with a Pisco Rooibos in hand is the kind of Ibizan moment you’ll want to press repeat on.
Activities at Petunia include yoga and breathwork sessions, live concerts, guided hiking trips and an outdoor cinema nights with Es Vedra as backdrop. While many of these experiences are free for in-house guests, they can also be booked for external visitors.
